Saving Money on Your European Vacation

Traveling to Europe is fun and exciting! It can also be very expensive. If you want to see Europe (and not buy it), then it’s best to plan ahead and know the tricks for saving money. Take a look at some of the tips below to make the most out of your travel budget.

1.       Stay in hostels or a bed and breakfast. Hotels in Europe can be on the expensive side. You can have comfortable and clean accommodations if you stay in a hostel or a bed and breakfast. Sure, these places are not luxury hotels, but you’ll have a clean bed, with breakfast included, at a fraction of the hotel chain price.

2.       Eat like a local. If you eat out in a fancy restaurant at every meal, your travel budget will quickly disappear. Instead, try eating breakfast and lunch like a local to save some money. You can shop at the local grocery stores for bread, cheese, and fresh produce. This is a great way to discover the local culture, and experience some tasty food.

3.       Travel by train. Europe has one of the best train systems in the world. Save money by traveling by train, instead of renting a car. You can even travel from country to country on an overnight train, which will also save on your hotel money. Plus, if you travel by train, you don’t have to worry about driving on the wrong side of the road or reading street signs.

Are you ready for your European vacation?
